Get your passport, and your bikini, you need a holiday, come see me...

...I know you're really busy and I know you've got plans
But are you really too busy for a sun tan?
I ain't talking about walking down the high street,
I'm talking about laying on a bright white beach
With a Pina Colada or whatever you'd rather...

-Dizzee Rascal

SO EXCITED! I've just booked my plane tickets and accomodation for BARCELONA!!! I can't wait to shake my unsuspecting brother awake on the morning of the flight and tell him to get packing, I'm taking him to his end-of-exams surprise...

I also can't wait to be back in that amazing city - watching the creepy entertainers on Las Ramblas, eating fresh coconut by the sparkling sea on Barceloneta beach, and seeing how much more of La Sagrada Familia has been built in my two year absence...

Then it's straight off to Marbella with the parents for, hopefully, more sun-soaking - and at the end of August, my first festival, with The Boy!

Some general loveliness in the midst of exam-revision-panic...

I'll still never stop looking in wardrobes for this...

Oh, for the Golden Age of Narnia! As the camerado gushes tearfully over the poster for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, "that's just what we believe in! Magic... hope... Narnia!!"

We dreamers have our ways of facing rainy days, and somehow we survive...

We keep the feelings warm
Protect them from the storm
Until our time arrives

Then one day the sun appears
And we come shining through those lonely years

I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view

I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through

When friends are hard to find
And life seems so unkind
Sometimes you feel afraid

Just aim beyond the clouds
And rise above the crowds
And start your own parade

Cause when I chased my fears away
Thats when I knew that I could finally say

I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it through the rain
I kept my point of view

I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through

You will find poetry nowhere unless you bring some of it with you

Light clarity avocado salad in the morning
after all the terrible things I do how amazing it is
to find forgiveness and love, not even forgiveness
since what is done is done and forgiveness isn't love
and love is love nothing can ever go wrong
though things can get irritating boring and dispensable
(in the imagination) but not really for love
though a block away you feel distant the mere presence
changes everything like a chemical dropped on a paper
and all thoughts disappear in a strange quiet excitement
I am sure of nothing but this, intensified by breathing
-Frank O'Hara

One exam down, one to go! Watching hilarious movies with the camerado. Eating cupcakes on the roof. The Boy coming over to cook me spaghetti bolognese. Finalising summer plans to spend my days in the sunshine.

Life can't stay this blue-skied for ever, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

"If you detect even an inkling of happiness, a tiny glimpse of love, a mere hint of contentment, for heaven’s sake grab it and don’t let go. Don’t ever think twice."
-Freya North

...And, of course, I'm eagerly anticipating May Week - and the arrival of my two ball tickets!

[Twilight is truly one of the worst things I have ever seen, but this is still pretty!]:-

*Sigh!* Just starting Disney's latest old-school offering, The Princess and The Frog - I can't wait after seeing the trailer! Was seriously shaken after watching the trailer for The Lovely Bones that came up as a related link on Youtube. That book still gives me nightmares. I can understand that Alice Sebold wrote it to give an insight and understanding into such a horrific event, but it is terrifying and tragic enough that we can see identical cases almost every day on the news. For me, personally, that's not what movies and books are for - call me shallow, but I like works of art, cinematic or otherwise, to make my life feel better, to bring something bright and magical to it! Hopefully a bit of Disney will do the trick...
