Be in love with your life.

Now I really want an E.T. cardigan!

last night I saw your ghost
pedaling a bicycle with a basket
towards a moon as full as my heavy head
and I wanted nothing more than to be sitting in that basket
like ET with my glowing heart glowing right through my chest and my glowing finger pointing in the direction of our home...
-Andrea Gibson

"I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I cannot transform into something marvelous, I let go."
-Anais Nin

Other marvelous things:

Getting a Gregory Peck poster from my brother in the post!

Running into lovely Claire, of The View From Here fame, at Vauxhall station!

Tea, cakes and dress shopping with mia madre in Carnaby Street.

The Boy taking me to see I Love You. You're Perfect. Now Change - it's such a brilliant play! The series of songs moved me from hysterics to tears! This had to be my favourite song, though...
An 'Anything But Clothes'-themed party at The Boy's college - he made an entire suit out of duck tape and a John Lewis bag, and I turned a Twister mat into a prom dress!:-

"I almost wish we were butterflies and liv’d but three summer days —three such days with you I could fill with more delight than fifty common years could ever contain."
-John Keats

...And tonight, I have Italiano class and watching Singin' In The Rain - The Boy hasn't seen it yet!!

"And as we drank our wine and let the world fade away
The sunrise tried to end it while we tried to stay
The rest of my life can't compare to this night
And only the heartaches have given me sight
They bring me to you
They bring me to you..."

You SHALL go to the ball!

It's still snowing here, but already my thoughts are with the summer to come! I was skipping to cocktails under the stars the other night, humming for joy, because I've not only managed to get tickets to our college May Ball [theme: Make-Believe!] with all of my compadres - I'm also going to the Emmanuel June Event with The Boy!:-

...And GUESS what the theme is...?:-

"Hollywood is the entertainment capital of the globe. With premier names in comedy, talent and music preparing to dazzle your senses, you can be sure that this will be not be a night to forget. Our music line up will cater for all tastes, from the stars of Indie to the glamour of jazz bands, ensuring that this production will be set to the best and most original score. If it's action you're looking for, seek out thrills on our range of rides and amusements. A little romance, perhaps? Then saunter into our pamper room and transform yourself into a star of the silver screen. Or maybe you fancy yourself as a budding Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers? Show off your moves on our bustling dance floors. From the moment the clapper board snaps to the time the credits begin to roll, the 2010 Emmanuel June Event will be sure to give you a truly award-winning experience...
Our guests will be treated like Hollywood stars, with an array of food and drink to suit all palettes. Whether yours is a Martini (shaken, not stirred), a frosty beer or a Cosmopolitan on Venice Beach, we have something to cater for everyone’s tastes.
Hollywood-inspired food will be served all night. Enjoy the show with popcorn and pick n’ mix or visit our American diner for burgers and French fries. We invite you to sample the culinary delights offered by the City of Angels..."

Of course, the question now [because it's never too early to start thinking about dresses] is: what to wear?? Perhaps I'll take some inspiration from the Golden Globes... well, one can always dream...

I would still most like to look this for either of my May Ball debuts, though!:-
